Portraiture Dolls
For something truly unique, why not capture a personal moment in time with a portrait doll? A beautiful bride is forever breathtaking, when recreated in a one-of-a-kind porcelain doll. Perhaps you have a favorite photo of your little one that looks “just like a doll”—so why not make it a real doll? Even a special celebration, such as a christening, First Communion, birthday, or Bar/Bat Mitzvah can be a “memory in porcelain”. HOW THIS IS DONE: After receiving photos and a detailed description of your subject, the process begins. It starts with arduous research, to find appropriate greenware which will create a match to your subject. Although the search is limited to existing sculpts in the doll making industry, rest assured that those resources are vast, and every effort will be made to duplicate the look of your subject, as closely as humanly possible. Some adjustments can be made in the cleaning process, and once the doll begins to “come to life”, you will be amazed at the likeness. Next, your doll will be painted, given lifelike eyes, just the right wig, and costumed according to your photo or other specifications. Once the doll is complete, you will be sent digital photographs, for approval. Witness the Process
What if you could actually “watch” your special doll “come to life”? Well, now you can! For an additional charge of only $20, you will be made witness to the entire process of crafting your special doll—from greenware to costume. Photos are taken from beginning to end, and put into a narrative portfolio or CD/DVD, just for you. It’s like having “baby pictures”, to show off to family and friends.
