Important Things to Know
Pricing
There is a commonly accepted formula involving cost of materials, time and labor, and so forth, and I am ethically bound by those guidelines. I use only the highest quality supplies and fabrics, and not a single detail is overlooked. It is my goal to make certain that each and every doll will be a cherished, one-of-a-kind treasure. Once the details of your doll have been carefully put together, you will be given an estimate of the final cost, for approval, before any work is begun. This will insure that there are no surprises for either of us. And you may certainly contact me with any questions or concerns you may have about your special doll.
Completion Time
I am a “one-woman” operation, with a small retail studio to run. It is not uncommon for me to have several simultaneous projects in various stages of production. I keep basic supplies on hand, but do purchase very specific fabrics, trims, wigs, and other necessities for custom and portraiture dolls. I try to purchase these needs locally, but do occasionally have to special order materials, which increases my turnaround time. That being said, please be aware that I do make every effort to insure that custom dolls are completed within an approximate time frame of two to three months. If, however, circumstances arise which indicate an unforeseen delay, you will be notified immediately, to determine an appropriate course of action.
Deposits and Payment Options
Once a custom or portrait doll package has been arranged, a 35% non-refundable deposit is required before work begins. Currently, I can accept Pay Pal, money orders, and personal checks (which must clear, before work begins). If you require some type of special financial arrangements, (regardless of the doll you wish to purchase), please let me know and I’ll try to work out a payment plan for you.
